G8 has announced the dates and its new corporate style
G8 is the first festival in creative industries. This year the festival will take place on 10-11 September in the territories of creative clusters of Flakon and Khlebozavod.
‘We monitor the situation about COVID-19 and this year the festival there will be a new mission – to rehabilitate all the businesses which were affected by the crisis. We’ll elaborate on how we’re going to do that soon’ – Vitaliy Bykov, director of G8 Festival.
This year's subject is identity. The meaning of “identity” has been changing in today’s world. Social networks let us create a perfect image of ourselves facial recognition systems make archives of our photos into special folders and Instagram filters let us alter our appearances. This environment polarizes its occupants a lot. Some people share their personal feelings with the whole world, others try to remain anonymous.
Anyway, a social network account is a user's specific mask. That’s why the basis of the new identity are masks which were invented in collaboration with young artists and designers represent one of the festival areas: music, design, games, commercial, fashion, media, etc.
The new visual language has been developed by Moscow design-studio ESH Gruppa.
One of the first to represent his view of fashion is Nikita Replyansky.
