G8 to host a public talk: “Top Russian Movies”

Good news for cinema addicts! A public talk will take place at G8 Festival: "Top Russian Movies". It will be hosted by dope directors, who proved to the world through their films that Russian cinema is at least worth something.

Alexey Zotov, curator of the "Cinema" section, gathered the most fascinating directors of the Russian film industry on one stage. Alexey shot the full-length comedy «Kill the Boss», which will be released in the first quarter of 2021. Previously he worked at the «Bazelevs» film company, founded by Timur Bekmambetov.

Alexey Kamynin, the director of the comedy film «Handra», which is his second piece of art, will also take part in the event. Alexey studied at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors, wishing to comprehend a complicated job, and he succeeded.

Alexander Hunt, the director of the popular road movie "How Vitka Chesnok Drove Lyokha Shtyr to the House for Disabled" - this film is a term job of a VGIK student. Alexey is the winner of the Nika-2018 prize in the «Discovery of the Year» nomination.

Baybulat Batullin - director of the comedy satire series "Chuma" (Plague). Baybulat studied at the Moscow School of Cinema, and two of his short films starred at the «Kinotavr» movie festival.
