Ideas and solutions

For creative segments of the advertising industry, lockdown in case of COVID-19 turned into an almost complete stop in the production of exclusive content. Shooting in the street is forbidden, all studios are closed. What should be done if the production of photos and videos become impossible, but the deadlines are coming closer? Shooting by smartphones in apartments? Using UGC? Developing mechanics with Zoom-calls? In super-tight time we managed to find an effective solution to the problem. Brainstorming to develop the crisis creative strategy went like: “We are moving to a side of situative content. What are people during lockdown doing? Sport! sport and water are too obvious, what else? Reading a lot. So books - it may be interesting!” All in all, the revolutioning solution was found - the first science fiction novel written by Instagram posts. It's an absolutely unique case of Instagram content production - the main emphasis was placed on the text component. The agency team in collaboration with russian illustrators, 3D-artists, motion-designers and young writers managed to realise the project on high-level and don’t break the deadlines. The plot of the novel is an actual information message, which was reinterpreted in the manner of russion science fiction books. In accordance with the idea content was implemented by different digital tools: CGI, computer graphics, digital-illustrations. Copyright to images imitates quotes from the sci-fi-style book, combines characters’ stories. Quantitative indicators: 7,1k - content saves, 2k - reposts of content, 408 - comments, 2k-subscriber growth
