O'lis. Natural cosmetic Natali Shilova
Task
Sibirsky Kedr, Russia's largest manufacturer of unique products based on pine nut kernels, asked me to develop a packaging design for a new O'Fox line of beauty products, whose slogan is "cosmetics natural enough to be eaten". It was necessary to move away from the conventionality of cosmetics and create packaging that emphasises its natural composition and the fact that cosmetics are made in Siberia. In addition, the new product was intended for people looking for an unusual gift.
Ideas and solutions
A little magic. When I first read the brief, I realised that this packaging should be somehow special. O'Lis cosmetics have such a great natural composition that it is a real treasure. My job was to express it in every detail of the packaging. I have created a series of surreal illustrations mimicking the pencil drawing technique. The view of a seamless round pattern makes you look at the package continuously. Illustrations, like in a small theatre, immerse the consumer in magical action. The entire line is divided by colour, in addition to which each product is accompanied by its own main character. The result I was striving for when creating the packaging - when buying cosmetics as a gift, you would like to keep it for yourself.
