Task
Develop a print for a Russian scientific laboratory engaged in computational research and space. "We want something as cool as NASA" they said.
Ideas and solutions
It is known that NASA is an independent agency of the United States Federal Government. So the agency, it’s media and it’s products is surrounded by the spirit of west culture and America. The customer is a Secret Scientific Russian organization, so it would be a great mistake to develop products for it in ‘‘American design’’ style. There is a well known period in Russian history — Russian Space Program. It has strongly influenced on the culture of USSR and Russian Federation and brought to world a lot of bright interesting and unique things made by soviet designers. We decided to get inspired by these works, sometimes avant-garde, but all native to Russians. We tried to develop something modern, but a bit nostalgic Science is beautiful. We think it is suitable to bring it’s forms to the print composition. Because meaning and details matters, when we talk about science. In geometry, Descartes’ theorem states that for every four kissing, or mutually tangent, circles, the radii of the circles satisfy a certain quadratic equation. By solving this equation, one can construct a fourth circle tangent to three given, mutually tangent circles
