Task
On this project I happened to participate as a composer and sound designer. Sound and music play an important role in this film. The machines here are a living heart, which from time to time fails. And the more these failures become, the older everything depending on him becomes. Nostalgia appears, memories of a past life, in which there were once better times. But the struggle goes on and faith makes him come to life again and again.

“Zavod” is a Russian documentary film about the legendary plant named after G.M. Sedin (now “Southern Heavy Machine Tool Building Plant”), shot by a young Kuban director Konstantin Samsonov. The film caused a great public outcry, since the plot is based on the struggle of factory workers to preserve the enterprise and pay wages, rallies, pickets, popular gatherings, negotiations with the authorities, the struggle for justice and the search for an investor.
