Task

#VictoryPages project - a versatile social media documentary commemorating the 75th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany. The digital, multi-platform, educational project assesses the historical magnitude of May 9th, 1945 through personal impressions of contemporaries and from the fresh perspective of digital art and creativity. It is a story of Victory told by the young, for the young, using the tools and language of modern media over five social networks.

Ideas and solutions

For decades, the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg has kept about 700 unique children's drawings that were created during the siege of Leningrad. We decided to bring these drawings to life using VR animation technologies. Famous VR artists who have worked with brands such as Disney, Marvel, Google, Samsung, Sony Pictures, Leica participated in the project. The team of VR artists - Denis "Sa1ntdenis" Semyonov from Russia, Australian Stuart "Sutu" Campbell, Vladimir "VRHUMAN" Ilic from Germany and Rosie Summers from Great Britain - brought historical drawings to the virtual space. Each of them created a three-dimensional illustration in their own unique style. Since its launch on January 13, 2020, #PagesVictory has gained over 35 million impressions, 4 million video views (800,000 watchtime minutes), 250,000 interactions, over 50,000 subscribers and 200 media publications. https://vimeo.com/442339344 https://pobeda.page/drawings https://vimeo.com/431434579 https://pobeda.page/ https://www.facebook.com/pobedapage
