Create an educational guide to train designers from Junior to Senior grade for a year and a half
Ideas and solutions
There is nothing impossible about design. Designers aren't born, they are made. That’s why we teach them by ourselves. Our gradebook consists of four sections for Junior, Middle, Senior and Art Director. Each of them, in turn, is divided into levels. Each of them contains tasks of increasing complexity, a list of literature, articles, and videos. Growth by grade is directly related to the volume and complexity of work. According to the gradebook, by the end of the three-month term on the first grade, Junior must make 500 slides, read 17 books, master the Illustrator, Sketch and basic Photoshop. On the Senior level a person has 6,600 slides, about 60 books, a designed interface and several works in external portfolios (like Behance). At the end of each level our students have a certain form of exam — together we look for a task on the strength and interests, after which the designer acquires a new grade. The gradebook is deliberately made in a bright paper version with a dust jacket — it is important for our designers to distract from the screen sometimes. Moreover, the manual itself is printed on good paper with colorful illustrations. We have two versions of gradebook design — for boys and girls.
